MarIneRs: Marine-In-Residence
Each year, the City of Richmond’s Arts, Culture and Heritage Services department invites professional artists in all disciplines to begin residencies in studios to further their work and promote public engagement. This space will host adult professionals, artists, and cultivators working in 5 fields (port activity, sciences, marine design, food, arts) to further their work and encourage involvement and cooperation in marine activity and history.
The multi-purpose space is offered as an professional/artist residence/studio with rent 100% subsidized in exchange for artist-led community-engaged programming.
Professionals-in-residence can provide perspective to planning and development of their industries, helping the public understand and access the work in these fields.
