This tenant improvement project was for Organic Early Learning 2 Daycare in Burnaby, and in particular was involved in the process of creating drawings and documentation for the municipal Building Permit, consultant coordination, and Issue for Construction phases. I participated in client, consultant, stakeholder, and design meetings. I collaborated with my colleagues in developing the Revit BIM model for construction documents (plans, sections, elevations, and schedules), detailing, tendering (revisions and addenda), and architectural visualisation. In coordination with the consultants, the Revit BIM model was linked between all disciplines for coordination and for layout reviews with the client. Additional drawings were completed and provided to the municipality and regional health authority for child care licensing. During the construction phase, I gained exposure toconstruction process and administration by attending site visits with the architect every 2 weeks for 6 months which included site walkthroughs, meetings, and minutes. This project was highly informative to my development in particular for being involved in the design, coordination, and construction administration of a child care space.
